I am pleased to announce that last Sunday I was privelaged enough to be a guest on a podcast, for my first time. It was the podcast for the webcomic community known as Rampage Network, which I am a member of. It was an honor to be on the show representing my webcomic Spaghetti Strap Western. I got to talk with a few other members about our webcomics and the differences in our methods.

Ali (Spaghetti Strap Western), Mike (Supernormal Step), and Savanna (Amya) join in on the the podcast this week. We discuss the Network’s coming Secret Santa project, cross-promotion, and how long they’ve been working on their comics.

It was a pretty amazing experience being on my first podcast! Give it a listen. And I highly recommend checking out the other guest’ comics, they’re pretty good. Click the graphic below for the MP3 download Stream it below, or stream it from Rampage.

Here is my first student short film entitled Halls of Chaos. It stars pretty much all of my friends, Jonathan Neve, Asher Connelly, Ashlynn Elizabeth Neve, and Micah Connelly. I liked the results so much, that I am now writing a much longer film for my next project. It will be using two of the same characters, however It will take place in an alternate universe, with a much different plot. Production for that film starts in January.

In Halls of Chaos, a detective meets up with a criminal informant to ask about a strange piece of evidence. It runs 5mins 45secs. I learned many lessons with HoC, which should make my next project that much better. I hope you all enjoy it, as much as I did shooting it.

As storytellers, we choose to write the stories we write. Specifically for fiction writers, they are often topics that intrigue us, and that we want to know more about. I am fascinated with the future, and any series of events that might unfold there. It intrigues me to discover what sorts of things the future might hold. Due to the very nature of my online graphic novel, Spaghetti Strap Western, I am faced with the crucial task to make the story as relatable to audiences today. I need to ground the story in real and believable characters, so that the fantastic elements of the story are accepted by readers.

I am currently sitting in a coffee shop in Omaha, NE. I’m sitting here, watching the rain outside, unable to believe that my first “real” experience exhibiting at a convention is over. Last Friday October I flew out to my parents house in San Jose, meeting up with Joenis and his girlfriend Ana, who arrived there the day before from LA. We quickly hashed out some last minute ideas for the booth, loaded up Joenis’ truck, and headed up north to beautiful San Francisco, to represent TNP Press.
